How I can help
I work as a fractional CTO — part-time, contract-based technical leadership for teams that need senior experience without a full-time hire. Here's how that typically looks:
You're building something new
You have an idea or an early product and need someone to make the key architectural decisions, pick the right stack, and start building. I work hands-on — writing code, setting up infrastructure, establishing patterns your team will build on for years.
I've built the Wandir, app which can be used to bootstrap new projects with out-of-box stable features for user management, chat, web scraping, matching, robust CI/CD platform and an AI OS for daily operations.
Other recent examples: a no-code healthcare platform (React, Node, AWS, GraphQL), a dynamic AI business decision engine, a cryptocurrency exchange with sub-100ms order processing.
Your team is using AI, but everyone's doing it differently
Your team has already adopted AI. Product, design, QA, and engineering are all using it, but everyone has their own private setup, and the team isn't getting the full benefit. I run a short, fixed-scope assessment to change that — I look at how each function actually uses AI day to day, where it's helping, where it's quietly adding risk, and where a few shared patterns would make the whole team faster.
You get a baseline you can track over time, a prioritized list of improvements, a lightweight team playbook, and a workshop to align on what to try first. It's not an individual productivity review — the focus is workflow, handoffs, context, and quality controls across the delivery lifecycle. Usually two to three weeks, start to finish.
I run it evidence-first: the agent inspects your repos, tickets, PRs, CI, and AI instructions before anyone gets asked how mature they feel. More on the method in An Evidence-First Scorecard for AI Engineering.
You need to build or fix a team
Hiring developers is hard. I've recruited and built high-performing teams from scratch — developers, QA, design, product — and I've assessed and right-sized teams that weren't working. I know what good looks like and I can move fast.
You need a technology assessment
Whether you're doing due diligence, evaluating a vendor, or trying to figure out why your engineering org isn't shipping — I can assess your technology, team, processes, and infrastructure and give you a clear picture of where you stand and what to do next.
You're a larger org that needs contract technical leadership
I've worked within organizations like Deloitte Canada, leading architecture migrations, building multi-tenant systems, and managing subcontracted teams. I can operate at enterprise scale when the project requires it.
Domain experience
Healthcare & health tech, AI/ML, no-code platforms, fintech & cryptocurrency, social media, analytics & data mining, wearable technology, enterprise software, and more. I've worked across enough domains that I pick up new ones quickly.
